Summit Tahoma Athletic Program
Summit Tahoma Athletic Program
As part of our commitment to the health and well-being of our students, Summit Tahoma is excited to offer a variety of sports throughout the year.
We are a proud and active member of the Private School Athletic League (PSAL) and participate in league games and tournaments annually.
Thank you to our student athletes and all the parents who support this program with many hours of volunteering. Without you we would not have a program!

Registration
Parents need to fill out the Summit Athletic Packet, which includes completing a physical for the student athlete. Students must be cleared by their doctor to play sports for Summit Tahoma.
Physicals
All athletes MUST complete the registration process and submit a sports physical in order to be cleared to participate in sports.
- Sports physicals are required annually in California, and MUST be completed by a licensed medical professional.
- Sports physicals are only valid for 1 year from the date they were last administered.
- There is a 1 week grace period to allow for insurance and doctor appointments upon the expiration date of the physical.
- Sports physicals can be completed by the athlete’s doctor, walk-in clinics (urgent care, Planned Parenthood, CVS Minute clinics, etc…), public health offices, and even chiropractors.
Grade Eligibility Requirements
All students are eligible to join a team, as well as practice with the team. In order for a student to play during an actual game they must meet the following criteria for core classes and must continue meeting throughout the season. Every 2 weeks will be an opportunity to check if this criteria is met. These are called grade checks. The criteria includes:
- No content assessments off track at grade checks
- No overdue projects at grade checks
- A maximum of only one incomplete class
- No disciplinary incidences
Grade check dates will be communicated to students, families, mentors, teachers, and coaches at the beginning of every season.
Donations, Fundraisers and Volunteering
We are always looking for families to get involved in the community! Whether that’s supporting our players to get to their games by carpooling or bringing refreshments to our sporting events – families are always welcome to get involved!
